Membership Application
CMS Membership Benefits
CMS membership year runs from January through December. CMS members receive the following:
- Complimentary admission to quarterly dinner meetings and social gatherings,
- Periodic updates on important Midlands’ area health issues,
- Complimentary CME hours
- Complimentary membership for practice managers of member practices
Membership Dues Categories
- Practice Membership (4 or more physicians): $250
- Individual Physician Membership: $290
- Resident Membership: $25
- Practice Manager Membership: $0 (Practice manager or administrator employed at a physician practice.)
- Honorary Membership: $0: (An Honorary Member is one who has been a member in good standing in this Society for forty consecutive years.)
- Fellow Membership: $0: (A Fellow is one who has reached the age of 70 or has retired from active practice and has been a member in good standing in this or other component medical societies of this or another state for at least twenty-five consecutive years, provided that member has been a member in good standing of Columbia Medical Society for a minimum of ten years.)
- Associate Member: $25 (A retired physician who doesn’t meet criteria for Honorary or Fellow membership may apply for associate membership.)
- Student Membership: $0 (A medical student enrolled at USC’s College of Medicine.)
