Formed in 1854, the Columbia Medical Society shall be to bring into one voluntary organization the physicians of the Columbia area so that by frequent meetings and full and frank interchange of views its members will elevate and make effective the opinions of the profession in all scientific, legislative, public health, and civic areas. This Society with other county and district societies forms the South Carolina Medical Association and through it with other state organizations forms and maintains the American Medical Association.

2018 Clay Shoot

Join your colleagues for the 2018 Columbia Medical Society Clay Shoot at the Palmetto State Armory on Saturday, March 24th. Proceeds from this event provide scholarships to medical students at the University of South Carolina.

2018 Legislative Forum

The Columbia Medical Society and the Lexington Medical Association have scheduled a Legislative Forum on Tuesday, April 3 in Columbia. Legislators from Richland, Lexington and neighboring counties will be attending to share legislative information and respond to questions.

2018 Oyster Roast
